KILLEN, Ala. – IT was a second straight round of 296 for the West Georgia men’s golf team as the Wolves finished with an 897 total at the TVA Credit Union Classic at Turtle Point Yacht and County Club in Killen, Ala.

 

The Wolves finished the tournament 33-over par and in seventh place after 54 holes. Tournament host North Alabama claimed the tournament title.

 

Junior Sam Jones had the top finish for West Georgia as the native of New Zealand shot 75 to wrap up the tournament with a 223 total and a 19th place finish.

 

Dan Benson shot the low round of the tournament with a final round 72 on Tuesday afternoon. Benson finished with a total of 224 and in a 23rd place tie. Valentin Riviere was tied with Benson after he used a 75 in Tuesday’s round to give him the 224 total.

 

It was a 74 for James Robillard on Tuesday as the freshman finished in 35th place with a 228 total. Ethan Jones shot a 78 on the final day to finish with a 230 total and a 41st place tie.

 

The Wolves have one tournament remaining in the fall season as they host the Matt Dyas Invitational next week at Oak Mountain Championship Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday, October 23-24.
