CARROLLTON, Ga. The West Georgia Men’s cross country team will be competing in their third meet of the season at the UNG Cross Country Invitational, on Saturday morning at Oakwood, Ga.

The invitational on Saturday will be an 8k race for the men’s team as they look to run against nine other schools. Now that the entire team has ran an 8k and the competition for this meet will be made up of Division II, Division III and NAIA teams, the Wolves will be looking for a strong performance.

Issac Hernandez is expected to be the top runner for the Wolves as he looks to continue his hot start to the season. Runners Thomas Adkins and Jacob Giammarco are also coming off a strong week in practice and can make a push to be the top runner this Saturday.

“This meet should be a better barometer of how we are doing as a team, as we won’t be facing all the D-I schools but rather more D-II schools” Head Coach Ryan Bailey said.

The invitational will be held at the University of North Georgia Gainesville Campus. The men’s race will begin at 9 a.m.
