CARROLLTON, Ga – This weekend, the Wolves’ cross country teams will be competing in the GSC Championship in Clinton, Mississippi. The races will begin with the men’s 8K at 10 a.m. and the women’s 5K set to begin at approximately 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 3rd.

 

West Georgia last ran in the Cougar Invitational this two weekends ago. Solomon Komen did not participate in this race, as he traveled to Milledgeville to run in the Bobcat Invitational, where he finished 10th.

 

At the Cougar Invitational, the men’s team finished second overall, with David Walker placing sixth. Walker ran a 28:05.85 race.

 

The women finished in fourth place for the race. Alaina Burnside was the top finisher for the Wolves placing 15th overall with a time of 21:34.07.

 

The GSC Championships will begin with the men’s start at 10 a.m. The women’s 5k will follow shortly after, beginning at approximately 11 a.m. The Awards ceremony is tentatively set for 12:15.
