CARROLLTON, Ga. - Solomon Komen continues to set the standard for UWG cross-country for the future, and Friday afternoon at the UWG Invitational, Komen was dominant against the rest of the field, winning the meet and powering the West Georgia Wolves to victory in the third meet of the year. 

Komen finished the 8K race in 27:03, nearly a minute and a half ahead of second-place Joshua Beam from Point University. The Wolves placed three of the top-five, with freshman Jonah Morris finishing in 28:39 behind Beam and another freshman, Michael Fabiano, turning in a time of 28:46 for fourth place in the meet. David Walker and Andres Sanchez were the final two Wolves in the top-10, finishing sixth and eighth, respectively.

West Georgia will be back in action in Milledgeville on October 12, taking on the field at Georgia College in the final warmup before the 2019 Gulf South Conference Championships in Montevallo, Alabama on October 26.
