CARROLLTON, Ga. - The West Georgia Wolves turned in a solid performance on Thursday afternoon at Sunset Hills Country Club, handing the visiting Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes a 6-3 defeat> 

Senior Gabby Chanthaphaeng now has one match left in her career at UWG, and after Thursday's thrilling 7-2 tiebreak victory in a 9-8 match win in No. 1 doubles, she is one doubles win away from tying the career record. Chanthaphaeng and her partner, Sara Watson, won in doubles play over the team of Celia del Castillo and Maria Taboada. Chanthaphaeng also ran her career wins total to 47 overall with a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Kendall Crew in No. 3 singles play. Watson lost to Taboada in No. 2 singles, 6-2 and 6-0. 

The Wolves swept doubles play in Thursday's match, with the team of Jordan England and Brooke Kane taking careof business in No. 2 doubles, beating Crew and Anneliese Leahy by an 8-5 score. England retired due to injury in her No. 4 singles match, and Kane lost 6-1, 6-1 in No. 1 singles to Celia del Castillo. 

Shelby Brown returned after an injury over the weekend with wins in both singles and doubles play. Brown teamed up with Meg Cummings in No. 3 doubles, beating Charli Allen and Alex Rhoades by an 8-2 score, then Brown bested Leahy 6-3, 6-4 in No. 5 singles play.
