CARROLLTON, Ga. - The West Georgia Wolves lost in Gulf South Conference action on Wednesday afternoon at Sunset Hills Country Club in Carrollton, falling 7-0 to the visiting Mississippi College Choctaws.

Senior Shelby Brown put up a big fight at No. 3 singles after a 6-1 loss in the opening set. She rallied in the second set for a 6-1 victory to the even the match up at 1-1. In the final set, Brown continued to fight, but came up on the short end of a 6-3 score.

Brown and partner Meg Cummings lost 6-3 in No. 2 doubles action at the opening of the match. Cummings played in No. 4 singles on Wednesday, losing 6-2 in the first and 6-1 in the second set. 

Freshmen Timia Commodore and Sofia Soltis played No. 1 doubles in the match, losing 6-3. Commodore fell 6-0, 6-0 in No. 1 singles and Soltis lost 6-0, 6-1. 

Bailey McCammon lost 6-2, 6-2 in No. 5 singles, and Jamie Bryant lost 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 6 flight. 

The Wolves are back in action on Saturday at Alabama Huntsville before returning home next Tuesday against West Alabama in the final hike match of the year.
