LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Georgia Wolves wrapped up the 2018 volleyball campaign on Saturday afternoon in Livingston, Alabama as the Wolves fell 3-1 to the West Alabama Tigers at Pruitt Hall.
The Wolves came out and took the first set in the match, battling out a close 25-23 win in the opening set. West Georgia trailed by three on three separate occasions, including a 23-20 deficit, but a 5-0 run to end the LIVINGSTON gave the Wolves an early lead in the match.
West Alabama then responded by winning each of the next three sets, including a commanding 25-14 win in set number two. The Tigers pulled away late in the third set, winning 25-17 to make it
The final set went down to the wire as West Alabama led 17-10 until the Wolves battled back, cutting it to 20-17, and eventually tying things up at 24-24. UWA would then get the next two points to close out the match.
Anjelina Webb led the offense with 11 kills while McKenna Wharton chipped in with 10. Madi Fleming finished the season with a 35 assist performance while Emilee Harris led defensively with 21 digs.
The Wolves wrap up the season at 11-15 and a 5-11 in Gulf South Conference.
