CARROLLTON, Ga. - The West Georgia Wolves hit .306 for the night against the Montevallo Falcons on Saturday evening, propelling the Wolvesto a 3-0 victory in Gulf South Conference action at The Coliseum. The win punched the Wolves’ ticket to the Gulf South Conference tournament on November 22-23 at the home of the regular season GSC champ.

Freshman middle Tierra White led the Wolves with 13 kills while she and freshman middle combined for 15 blocks to lead the effort. Setter Madi Fleming led the way with 33 assists in one of the best hitting nights of the year. 

The Wolves opened with a solid performance in the opening set, building an early 15-10 lead before finishing off the set for a 1-0 lead with a 25-19 victory. In the second set, the two teams stayed close for the first 12 points, but the Wolves took a 14-12 lead and never looked back winning by a 25-19 score in back-to-back sets to take a 2-0 lead.

In the third set, the Wolves took an early 14-8 lead and never took their foot off the gas en route to a 25-15 victory. 

West Georgia moves to 15-10 on the year with a 9-2 record in GSC play. The Wolves will be back in action on the road Tuesday at West Florida in another big GSC contest.
