Carrollton, GA - The West Georgia Wolves baseball team is off to a fast start as they have won their first four games of the year, including a 13-6 win over Columbus State on Thursday evening.

Breaking Down the Stats
The Wolves are hitting .309 as a team, with 34 runs scored and 29 RBI. Ben Utley has led UWG offensively, hitting .500 on the year with six RBI and four runs scored. Ryan Raper is also hitting .500 for the year, going 4-6 in Thursday's win over Columbus State.

The pitching staff has also been impressive, holding opposing batters to a .229 batting average and posting a 3.38 ERA. Greyson McLeod has thrown twelve innings for UWG, posting a 1-0 record with a 1.50 ERA.

Ryan Sapp has done great work for UWG out of the bullpen, throwing five shutout innings without giving up a walk. Mitchell Mannino has also picked up two wins and a save in 2017.

The Augusta Jaguars pitching staff has a team ERA of 6.82 on the season. Junior Casey Lenoch has a 1.50 ERA in six innings pitched. He also has four strikeouts and has only given up one walk.
