Carrollton, GA - The West Georgia baseball team looks to get back in the win column as they host the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes in midweek action at Cole Field.

Weekend Wrap-Up
The Wolves suffered their first two losses of the season this past weekend, dropping two one-run games to the Augusta Jaguars. The Wolves struggled offensively on Saturday, racking up only two hits and one run on the day.

Turner Edwards and Dalton Reagin both performed well on the mound for UWG in game one. Edwards pitched 4.2 innings, allowing two runs on four hits. Reagin was lights out for the Wolves, throwing 3.1 innings, while giving up no hits and striking out three.

On Sunday West Georgia fell to the Jaguars 4-3 in walk off fashion. Christopher Michals paced the UWG offense, going 3-3 with three RBI. Russell Klein started the game for West Georgia, pitching 3.2 innings and giving up one earned run. Ryan Sapp had another quality outing, giving up one run in 3.2 innings pitched.

Georgia Southwestern at a Glance
The Hurricanes are 3-3 so far in the 2017 season. They are currently on a two-game losing streak, including a 15-3 defeat at the hands of Gulf South Conference opponent West Alabama.

As a team, GSW is hitting .243 on the season, with 45 hits and sixteen runs scored. Senior Alex Kranick is currently hitting .333 on the year with six hits and three runs scored. Evan Alderman is hitting .286 for GSW, including three triples.

The Georgia Southwestern pitching staff has a team ERA of 4.24, allowing 33 runs in 51.0 innings pitched. Twenty-four of the runs allowed have been earned runs.

Junior Kyle Spinks has led the Hurricanes with a 0.82 ERA in eleven innings pitched. He also has seven strikeouts with only one earned run allowed. Coty Graham has a 1.93 ERA in 2017. He has six strikeouts in 4.2 innings pitched.
