Carrollton, GA - After a weekend where UWG took two of three games from 18th ranked Delta State, the Wolves now welcome 3rd ranked (Collegiate Baseball Newspaper) North Georgia to Carrollton for a midweek matchup. The Wolves and Nighthawks will meet at 5 p.m. at Carrollton High School after an overnight irrigation problem at Cole Field made the playing surface unplayable.

The Wolves enter this week on a high note as they beat Delta State in two out of three games on the road. UWG dropped game one 5-2 before winning game two 8-4 and game three 14-4.

UWG enters the game hitting .292 as a team. Ben Utley leads the Wolves with a .410 batting average, good for sixth in the Gulf South Conference. Utley also has six doubles, three homeruns, and 19 RBI. Freshman Logan Arnett is hitting .351 on the season. He was 7-11 with four RBI last weekend versus Delta State.

North Georgia enters the game with a 16-4 record. They are also 5-1 in the Peach Belt Conference. The Nighthawks are hitting .301 as a team with 47 doubles, 11 triples, 32 homeruns, and 179 runs scored.

Michael Gouge leads the Nighthawks with a .418 batting average. He has added seven homeruns, 11 doubles, and 37 RBI. Connor Hoover is also hitting .418, adding eight doubles and five homeruns.
