CARROLLTON, Ga. – The University of West Georgia Department of Athletics is proud to announce a new way to honor UWG student-athletes who have been outstanding in the classroom with the first edition of the Wolves Student Athlete GPA Honor Roll.

 

Each semester, those student-athletes that meet the criteria will be named to the Wolves Student Athlete GPA Honor Roll. Student-athletes must be enrolled as a full-time student and on the current roster. The Honor Roll has four levels of acknowledgment based on the term GPA.

 

Platinum honorees have earned a 4.0 GPA for the semester while Gold honorees had a 3.50-3.99 GPA. Beyond that, Silver honorees earned a GPA of 3.25-3.49 and Bronze honors those student-athletes with a GPA of 3.00-3.24.

 

Those student-athletes named to the Wolves Student Athlete GPA Honor Roll will be honored at the February 7 basketball game as West Georgia’s men’s and women’s basketball teams host Valdosta State. For a complete list of honorees use the Page Feature at the top of this article.
