CARROLLTON, Ga. – Head women’s basketball coach Scott Groninger and the Wolves have their fourth signee in the 2019 class as Kylah Mize has signed her letter of intent, and will join the Wolves for the upcoming 2019-20 season.

Mize, a 5-7 guard and native of Gainesville, Georgia, spent the past two seasons at Ranger College in Ranger, Texas. Last season, Mize played in 24 games, making 13 starts and averaged 7.2 points per game while shooting 34.4 percent from the field and 31.9 percent from behind the arc while being named Honorable Mention All-Conference.

In the 2017-18 season, Mize led the Rangers in scoring with 11.2 points per game, making 19 starts in 27 total appearances as a freshman. That year, Mize also was a selection to the NJCAA All-Star Game and was named First Team All-Conference.

“It’s a homecoming of sorts for Kylah as she comes back to her home state, and we’re excited to have her in Carrollton and to see how she can help our program on and off the court,” said Groninger.

As a prep player at East Hall High, Mize was named Region 7-AAA Player of the Year as a senior after scoring 16 points per game and averaging 2.5 steals per game. Mize was also a Second Team All-State selection as a senior and helped her team to a 16-11 mark and a trip to the GHSA AAA State Playoffs.

Mize joins Tahya Campbell as a pair of JUCO transfers coming to Carrollton as juniors in 2019-20, while incoming freshmen Lanee Edwards and Jailyn Shaw to round out the 2019 class.
