CARROLLTON, Ga. – Next week, the UWG football team is set to host Shorter in Thursday night football action at University Stadium, and in conjunction with that event, the UWG Student Athlete Advisory Committee is hosting a Rock-A-Thon in order to generate support and awareness for the Make A Wish Foundation.

Participants in the Rock-A-Thon are chosen to partake in the activities and solicit donations prior to the event day. Those participants then rock in teams in a rocking chair for up to five hours.

Someone from each team must be rocking at all times, and the hope is to support the charitable organization of the Gulf South Conference by raising proceeds and awareness to support the mission of Wolves Helping Others.

The Rock-A-Thon starts at 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, and will last until halftime of Thursday’s UWG football game against Shorter in the West concourse of University Stadium. All fans in attendance may support their favorite Wolves and Make A Wish with a drop in the bucket.

For more information on the Rock-A-Thon or to make a pledge please contact eduffey@westga.edu.
