CARROLLTON, Ga. - As the first full week of classes begins at the University of West Georgia, UWG athletics is set to open the 2018-19 athletic calendar on Friday. Volleyball takes center stage first among the UWG teams, taking the court at the UAH Classic in Huntsville, Alabama this weekend.
Volleyball at UAH Tournament- August 24-25 - First-year head coach Jon Moseley takes to the UWG sideline officially for the first time on Friday, August 24 at 1 p.m. UWG Volleyball takes on LeMoyne-Owen College in that matchup, followed by a match at 7 p.m. against Alabama Huntsville. They return to the court on Saturday to face Ouachita Baptist University at 12 p.m.
Single Game Football Tickets - As the clock is winding down for the start of Wolves Football, single game tickets are available online for $15 through the UWG Athletics Ticket Portal. That price is available until noon on Friday, August 31, with tickets at the ticket booth on gameday priced at $20. University of West Georgia faculty and staff are admitted free with a guest to all UWG Athletic events with a valid UWG ID. Students are admitted free with a valid UWG ID card.
Junior Wolves 2018-19 - The Junior Wolves Program is for children aged two to 12 years old, and provides opportunities for special activities on gameday. The first event for the 2018-19 athletic year will be at UWG football on September 1 against Catawba. The Fun Den will open with bounce houses and a snack for all Junior Wolves members at noon on that Saturday. Junior Wolves memberships cost $10 for the entire year.
