A four-year mainstay on the defensive line, Klay Killingsworth enjoyed a record setting career as a West Georgia Brave. The Forsyth native was a four-year letterman and three-year starter at the tackle position. He ended his career with more tackles than any defensive lineman in the history of the program. Killingsworth's contributions were keys to the team's success as West Georgia posted a record of 32-9 during his four seasons. He was a part of two NCAA Playoff teams and was a team captain on the Braves' first Gulf South Conference title team in 1997. The Forsyth native was named to a berth on the '97 All-GSC First Team, and was named to the Division II All-America Team. He completed his career by playing in the national Division II all-star game, the Snow Bowl. After graduation, Killingsworth embarked on a successful career in the coaching profession, including stops at both the high school and collegiate levels.
