Though offensive linemen are often the overlooked stars on a football team, no one overlooked the accomplishments of Abed Taha during his playing days at West Georgia. A native of Orlando, Fla., Taha is among the most honored players in the program's history. He was a two-time first team selection to the All-Gulf South Conference Team, a two-time All-South Region honoree, and was twice named All-America. Taha's performance on the field translated into success on the field as he is among the few to earn championship rings from three GSC title teams. UWG's record during his career was an impressive 36-9. Since graduation Taha has enjoyed a successful business career in his native Central Florida.
