Bryn Powers and
Ryan Chitwood along with senior
Nelson Alvarez led the Wolves in the opening tournament of the fall season.
Powers shot a round low of 73 (+1) for a final score of 222 (+6), while Chitwood (76-69-78) and Alvarez (76-72-75) each shot 223 (+7) finishing tied for 38th.
Zach Lassetter finished tied for 40th with a final score of 225 (77-73-76). Daniel Guthrie carded a 232 (75-81-76), and
Steve Hocker finished with a 246 (78-84-84).
Final team standings: West Florida took the team title with a score of 864, followed by UNC-Pembroke (870), Clayton State (871), Georgia College & State (871), Lander (874), Carson-Newman (880), Georgia Southwestern (881), Florida Tech (883), Valdosta State (884), Queens (S.C.) (886), Brevard (901), East Central (901), Montevallo (901), West Georgia (903).
Final individual standings: Jordan Walor of UNC-Pembroke won the individual championship with 211 (-5); Brad Robinson, Carson-Newman (212); Joe Young, GCSU (213); Brent Witcher, Valdosta State (214); Otto Bonning, West Florida (215); Kyle Scott, West Florida (215); Jordan Tyler Massey, Clayton State (215); Mathew Morrison, UNC-Pembroke (216); Wade Binfield, Clayton State (216); Ryan Black, West Florida (216).
