Carrollton, GA - The West Georgia Wolves face off with multiple teams from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference each year, but Wednesday's game with the Maroon Tigers marks the first time since the 2003-04 season that the two teams have taken the court at opponents.

Gameday Central

The last time these two teams met was on February 2, 2004 in the HPE Building in Carrollton. That game was a hard-fought competition that West Georgia came out of with an 82-72 victory.

West Georgia is coming off of a tough loss in the season opener on Sunday afternoon, as the Wolves fell victim to 10th-ranked Augusta State in Augusta. Four Wolves reached double-digit scoring in the contest, led by junior guard Vojin Svilar. The native of Serbia was 4-of-7 from the three-point arc en route to an 18-point effort.

The Maroon Tigers are coming off of one of their worst seasons in recent memory, going 9-19 on the year in 2008-09.
