Carrollton, Ga - West Georgia senior John Pringle proved why he was an All-GSC performer last year in the West Georgia Wolves' first foray onto the court in the 2009-10 season. As a team, the Wolves struggled against Atlantic-10 power George Washington in a 78-44 exhibition loss.

Pringle nearly had a double-double in the loss, leading the Wolves with 10 points and nine rebounds on the afternoon. He scored the first two baskets for the Wolves on the afternoon, giving West Georgia a short-lived 4-2 advantage in the first two minutes of the contest.

But over the next eight minutes, George Washington flexed their athletic muscle, building an 11-point lead that would stay for the remainder of the first half. As the teams headed to the locker rooms, the Colonials held a 34-23 advantage.

In the second half, with UWG center Julian Jones in foul trouble, George Washington took full advantage of the depleted starting line, building a significant advantage.

Vojin Svilar was the second leading scorer in the game for the Wolves, hitting 2-of-5 from three-point range for seven points. Jones was the second-leading rebounder with eight boards in the game.

The exhibition season continues for West Georgia on Monday night, as the Wolves travel just over the border into Alabama to face Division I Jacksonville State in the final warmup before the regular season begins on November 15. On that day, the Wolves travel to Augusta State to take on the 10th-ranked Jaguars.
