Wolves' Soccer: Clinic, Charity Tournament, and Camp

West Georgia Soccer is hosting several events in the next few months
Carrollton – West Georgia soccer is preparing for the future, honoring a dear friend, and educating young athletes over the next several months through clinics, a tournament, and the 2009 Marisa Kovacs Soccer Camp.

Originally schedule for March 1st, the Wolves’ soccer clinic is for all high school juniors and seniors and in conjunction with the clinic an open tryout will be held for all current West Georgia students and junior college transfers.

Clinic participants will need their registration and payment while tryout participants will need to sign a waiver upon arrival to Observatory field. Registration begins at 2:15pm.

On Saturday, April 18th, the Wolves are hosting “The Kick Sarcoma Cancer 3v3 Soccer Tournament: Fight For Nicole Nunn.” Nuun is a former student and student athletic trainer here at The University of West Georgia, who is battling Sarcoma. She has been battling Sarcoma on and off since she was 10 years old.

UWG students, faculty, staff, and others are invited to help UWG raise money for this worthy cause and enjoy a day of soccer. You have to be 16 or older to participate.

Finally, the UWG soccer team is hosting the 2009 Marisa Kovacs Soccer Camp from July 27th through July 31st at Observatory Field on the University of West Georgia campus.

The camp is for boy and girls age 5-12 and there are three camp options: Day camp, Overnight camp, and Commuter camp.
