Carrollton – The University of West Georgia Athletic Department has announced a seventh event for its 2009 Wolves Caravan. The summer promotional tour is slated for a July 16 stop in Fayetteville to meet-and-greet with alumni and supporters in the Fayette County area.

“We are really pleased to add the Fayetteville date to our schedule,” said Eddie Duffey, UWG’s associate athletic director for development. “We’re hoping for a good turnout of fans to help build momentum for the
upcoming season and to continue the momentum for the West Georgia Athletic Fund.”

The Fayetteville event is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Speedy Pig BBQ, 715 Glynn Street, South. All area Wolves fans, friends, and UWG alumni are invited. Football coach and interim A.D. Daryl Dickey will be on
hand, along with Duffey and others from UWG’s athletic staff.

The 2009 Wolves Caravan begins June 30 with a stop at Maggiano’s Little Italy on Peachtree Road in Atlanta. Beyond Fayetteville, the Wolves Caravan has five other July appearances. They include two additional Atlanta area stops: July 8 in Marietta and July 9 in Duluth. Also, the Caravan visits Newnan on July 13, Douglasville on the July 14, and LaGrange on July 15.
