Carrollton, GA - New West Georgia head baseball coach Skip Fite has announced that a new tradition will begin on October 2-3, as the baseball program will host the first UWG Baseball Alumni Weekend.
"We are beginning a new era for baseball here at West Georgia," Fite said. "We want all of our players and fans, former and new, to take part in this new era."
The weekend will begin on Friday afternoon, October 2 at 1:00 with a golf outing at Oak Mountain Championship Golf Club in Carrollton.
Saturday will feature a pair of games, beginning at 11:30 a.m. with an Old-Timers vs. Old-Timers matchup. At 2:30, the young Alumni will face-off with the current Wolves in a friendly game. All games will be played at Cole Field.
There is no cost to play in the baseball games, but there will be a cost for participants in the golf outing. For more information on the golf outing and the entire weekend, contact coach Fite at
