Carrollton,  GA - Wednesday marks one of the most important days of the year for any football program, as young athletes all across the nation will sign Letters-of-Intent to play football at the program of their choice. There will be multiple opportunities for West Georgia fans to follow signing day and get a first look at the 2010 recruiting class for the Wolves. 

Fans can check back throughout the day at www.uwgsports.com Signing Day Central for updates, as the football staff will release the names and details of UWG recruits as their letters come in on Signing Day. Each new name releaed will be sent out via text message from the website through the SMS feature at uwgsports.com and fans can also follow live updates on Twitter or Facebook.

Mamion Hambrick - Kennesaw, GA
DL - 6-0, 290 - East Paulding High School

A two-time all-region selection for Raiders … was a four-year starter and team’s defensive player of the year in 2009 … helped Raiders to unbeaten regular season an region title as a junior  … had three sacks, six tackles for loss, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble … is an A-B honor roll student.

Zach Hemmila - Douglasville, GA
OL - 6-4, 290 - South Paulding High School
Earned first team all-conference and team captain honors for Spartans in 2009.

Somto Okeke - Woodstock, GA
OL - 6-2, 290 - Sequoyah High School
Was named first team member of the all-county academic team.

Jonathan Major - Forsyth, GA
WR - 5-11, 180 - 4.58 40-yd - Mary Persons High School
Was named to all-region team as both a wide receiver and defensive back … had 423 receiving yards in 2009 … times in the 40 at 4.58.

Derek Laney - Fort Oglethorpe, GA
DE - 6-3, 220 - Chattanooga Free Times Press Def. Player of the Year - Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe HS
Was Chattanooga Time Free Press 2009 North Georgia Defensive Player of the Year … also selected honorable mention all-state, All-Region 6-AAA … team awards included defensive and special teams MVP and team captain … is also a two-time state wrestling champion.

Justin Owens - Cartersville, GA
CB - 5-9, 180 - Gainesville Hiigh School
Was a second team all-region performer while helping Red Elephants to a berth in the AAA state title game … had 69 tackles and two interceptions during senior season … runs the 40 in 4.5 seconds.

James Swindle - Carrollton, GA
P - 6-0, 185 - Carrollton High School - 44 yd punting average
Named to all-area team following senior season … averaged over 44 yards per punt for Trojans in 2009 … was special teams award winner … a Hope Scholarship recipient and honor graduate.

Tyrell Adams - Atlanta, GA
Rover/SS - 6-2, 190 - Mays High School
Team Captain, two-year starter, and Hope Scholarship recipient … earned all-area and all-region honors … had 62 tackles and three interceptions in 2009 … runs a 4.6 40-yard dash

Nathan Teter - Cumming, GA
LB - 6-1, 210 - West Forsyth HS - 2008 Forsyth Co. Def. Player of the Year
An all-region performer as a senior prep star … averaged 15 tackles per game as a senior before season cut short by knee injury … was named Forsyth County Player of the Year as a junior after making 110 tackles … a Hope Scholarship recipient.

Bobby Liggins - Hephzibah, GA
ILB - 6-0, 220 - Hephzibah HS - All-State, All-Region, Augusta Chronicle All-Area
Was named all-state, all-region and to Augusta Chronicle  All-Area teams … made 106 tackles as a senior, including 52 solo stops … also had two sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles … runs a 4.7 in the 40 and is a Hope Scholarship recipient.

Tim Green - Byron, GA
DB - 6-1, 190 - Reedley Junior College - Warner Robins HS
Georgia native returning home after top juco career in California … Earned All-Valley Conference honors in 2009 … had 48 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, three interceptions and nine passes broken up … posted a 4.4 time in the 40-yard dash.

Rashad Ramsey - Summerville, GA
QB - 6-0, 175 - Chattooga HS - All-State, All-Region, All-Area
Earned honorable mention all-state honors in 2009 … was also named all-region and All-Rome Area … passed for over 2,000 yards and 15 TDs, rushed for over 700 with eight scores … also a second team all-state player in basketball and state triple jump champion.

Brad Engram - Elleville, GA
Rover/SS - 6-1, 195 - Henderson State/Reedley Junior College/Clinch County HS
Georgia native returning to home state for senior season … had 19 tackles in six games for GSC rival Henderson State in 2009 … also had two pass breakups for Reddies … career at HSU had 2.5 sacks, 3 tackles for loss and two interceptions.

David Henderson - San Francisco, CA
RB - 5-11, 195, 4.4 40-yard - City College of San Francisco/Lincoln HS (CA)
A two-time first team all-region performer at juco level … had 125 carries for 1,108 yards and nine TDs, plus 27 receptions for 246 yards and three scores … runs the 40 in 4.4.

Michael Gates - Fremont, CA
FS - 6-3, 195 - City College of San Francisco/American High School (CA)
Was a first team all-conference performer as a juco star … had 44 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 6 tackles for loss, four interception and 8 passes broken up in 2009 … runs a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash.

Myles Gates - Fremont, CA
WR - 6-4, 195 - City College of San Francisco/American High School (CA)
Was a second team all-conference selection as a juco performer … caught 36 passes for 489 yards and five touchdowns … runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4.

William Wright - Coconut Creek, FL
OL - 6-2, 310 - Mountain View High School
Was named all-area following 2009 season … selected for Gwinnett (GA) County All-Star Game following senior season at Mountain View.

Derrick Finch - Carrollton, GA
DL - 6-3, 295 - Louisburg College/Central-Carroll HS
Was a two-year starter as a juco player at Louisburg … had 44 tackles, six sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss for Hurricanes … was a four-year starter at hometown Central High … also a three-year basketball starter for Lions and serves as youth mentor in Carroll County.

Brad Beaty - Roswell, GA
OL - 6-3, 295 - Milton High School
Earned second team all-region honors … played in Rotary Bowl all-star game … runs a 5.0 in the 40-yard dash.

Cortez Hoskins - Phenix City, AL
OL - 6-3, 285 - Central-Phenix City High School
Was named All Bi-City following senior season.

Mark Bardenwerper - Helen, GA
K - 6-2, 170 - White County High School
Region 7-AAA Special Teams Player of the Year … first team all-state and all-area as a senior, first team all-region as a junior … played in GACA North-South All-Star Game … hit on seven-of-10 field goals with a long of 47 … connected on 36-of-39 PATs and 39-of-43 kickoffs went for touchbacks … Hope Scholarship recipient.

Tyrell Wright - Moultrie, GA
LB - 6-2, 230 - Colquitt County High School
Was a first team all-area and first team all-region selection … was selected for Georgia-Florida Border Wars All-Star Game … made 79 tackles, had 10 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, and one pass interception … posted a 4.6 time in the 40-yard dash.

Patrick Taylor - Fort Valley, GA
QB - 6-1, 185 - Peach County High School - 4.6 40-yd - 2nd Team All-State
Was a second team all-state and first team all-region selection while leading Trojans to 2009 state AAA title … completed 171-of-261 passes for 2,939 yards … also threw for 29 TDs and only four interceptions … posted a 4.6 time in the 40-yard dash.

Blake Jaurigue - Fayetteville, GA
OLB - 6-1, 210 - Whitewater High School - 4.5 40-yd - 2nd Team All-Region
Was named second team all-region following senior season … had 101 total tackles as a senior, including 64 solo stops … also had two interceptions, two blocked punts and three fumble recoveries … also a lacrosse player and Hope Scholarship recipient who runs a 4.5 time in the 40.

Grant Brown - Dawsonville, GA
TE - 6-3, 230 - Dawson County High School
Was a three-year starter who recorded 31 tackles as a senior … also had one forced fumble and one fumble recovery … runs a 4.8 time in the 40 … honor roll student and Hope Scholarship recipient who lettered in basketball, tennis and track.

Edward Carter - Columbus, GA
CB - 5-9, 175 - Carver-Columbus High School
Was named honorable mention all-state, first team all-region and first team All-Bi-City at Carver … had 43 tackles, four interceptions, six tackles for loss and 10 passes broken up … run a 4.3 time in the 40.

Vincent Warner - Greenville, GA
DE - 6-3, 220 - Greenville High School
Earned all-region honors for Patriots’ playoff team in 2009 … had seven sacks and knocked down seven passes … runs the 40 in 4.7 … a Hope Scholarship recipient.

Aaron Winston - Valdosta, GA
WR - 6-2, 195 - Lowndes High School - 4.5 40-yd
Was a first team all-area and second team all-region selection for Vikings’ program … selected for Georgia-Florida Border Wars All-Star Game … had 20 receptions for 485 yards and seven TDs … also had 37 tackles, 3.5 sacks, six tackles for loss and two interceptions … clocked at 4.5 in the 40-yard dash.

Devonte Taylor - Columbus, GA
Rover/SS - 6-2, 195 - Pacelli Hig School - 4.5 40-yd - 2nd Team All-State
Was a second team all-state, first team all-region and first team All-Bi-City teams … rushed 85 times for 695 yards, plus had 20 receptions for 325 yards and four TDs … made 73 tackles, with three sacks and two interceptions … timed at4.5 in the 40=yard dash.
