The Wolves play host to Carver Bible College at The Coliseum, which will be the first trip to the Wolves’ new venue for Carver. The two teams have met four times in the history of the series, with West Georgia holding a 4-0 advantage.

The last time West Georgia and Carver locked horns was in the final days of the 2007-08 season at the HPE Building, where the Wolves took home a 117-75 victory on that night.

West Georgia comes into the game with a 12-13 record on the season following a tough loss to Alabama-Huntsville on Monday night. The Wolves went into Spragins Hall needing one win to secure a berth in the 2010 Gulf South Conference tournament, but ran into one of the hottest teams in the conference right now in the Chargers, who won the contest 75-56.

The Wolves have but two games remaining on the 2009-10 season and both are highly important, as UWG looks to win on Senior Night Wednesday, then travels to Valdosta State on Satuday evening for a date with the Blazers.

Postseason play is still in the cards for the Wolves, a team that holds two cards to get into the GSC tourney. The first is a win over Valdosta State on Saturday.

The second is in a tiebreaker with West Alabama. Both teams are currently 3-6 with identical results against the East Division. The difference comes when looking through the schedule at common GSC opponents at common sites. The Wolves and Tigers played at Ouachita Baptist, with West Georgia winning and UWA losing, which gives UWG the tiebreaker over West Alabama.
