Carrolton, GA - Friday at 12:00, 12 teams from across the southeast will convene in Carrollton, GA, as the West Georgia Wolves host the annual Wolves’ Invitational, an event that has taken place for more than 15 years, with this year’s tournament back at the Carroll County Recreation department.

The tournament field this year features several teams that are regulars at the Invitational and a few teams that are new to the fold. Anderson University did not play in the tournament last season, but West Georgia faced Augusta State, Florida Southern and Georgia Southwestern, all teams that return for this season.
Playing out of the Peach Belt Conference are three teams in this year’s field; Columbus State, Georgia Southwestern and Augusta State. Representing the Sunshine State Conference are No. 15 Nova Southeastern, Barry and Rollins.
From the Gulf South Conference are West Georgia, West Alabama, No. 1 Alabama-Huntsville and North Alabama. These four teams have been the representatives from the GSC at the Wolves’ Invitational for many years. The final team to join the field is Anderson University, playing out of one of the newer conferences in Division II, Conference-Carolinas.
Nearly every year throughout the history of this even, there has been at least one ranked team playing on the fields at the Carroll County Recreation Department. This year is no exception, as No. 1 Alabama-Huntsville and No. 15 Nova Southeastern are the two highest-ranked teams this year. Florida Southern received votes in the preseason poll, but did not receive a ranking.
