#13 West Florida
Sunday at 3:00 p.m. - University Field
The Lady Argos come into the week with a 13-2 record against solid competition thus far. The two losses came to a familiar opponent for West Georgia, as UWF fell to Nova Southeastern 7-4 and 6-5.
The 2010 Gulf South Conference East Division opener will be a challenge for the Wolves, as they face a team that comes into the week hitting .356 as a team. The leader is second baseman Karri Bisbee, who is hitting at a torrid .540 pace with 16 runs on the year. On the mound, senior Jillian Lafrance leads the way with an 11-2 record and a 1.22 ERA. She has 105 strikeouts on the year to just nine walks.

Monday at 12:00 p.m. - University Field
The Lady Blazers enter the weekend with a 10-0 record on the line, first visiting second-ranked Alabama-Huntsville on Saturday before coming to Carrollton on Sunday afternoon.
The Blazers have arguably two of the best pitchers in the Gulf South Conference in Margaret Carter and Holly Satterfield, who each have an ERA of less than one on the season. Coming into last weekend, Carter led the Gulf South Conference in ERA at 0.26 and had 20 strikeouts to just five walks. As a team, VSU has had five shutout victories and have allowed more than one run only twice, once to Nova Southeastern and once to Saint Leo.
On the hitting front, sophomore Marti Littlefield had a .519 batting average coming into last weekend and had 12 RBI in 14 hits.
