Carrollton, GA – With just over two weeks and counting until the opening kickoff of the 2010 season, West Georgia is bringing back a successful event from last year with the Second Annual Football Season Ticket Blitz next week.
“This was one of our most successful campaigns of the year last year,” said Senior Associate Athletic Director Eddie Duffey. “We sold over 1,000 season tickets in 2009 and look to increase that number with the coming year.”
The Blitz is an easy way for fans to purchase their 2010 Football season tickets. This year’s event will take place over the course of four days on Adamson Square in Carrollton, with a station set up just next to the Irish Bred Pub.
On Monday and Wednesday, fans have the opportunity for a lunchtime visit to the Blitz, as the UWG Athletic Department representatives will be there from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. On Tuesday and Thursday, the tent will be set up from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The 2010-11 athletic year will kickoff on Saturday, August 21, with the first-ever Running with the Wolves, a Fan Photo Day at University Stadium. Fans will have the opportunity to meet and greet players from all sports from 12:00-2:00 p.m.
UWG football begins on August 28 at 7:00 p.m., with West Georgia playing host to Wingate at University Stadium.
