Carrollton, GA - The first phase of preseason is complete, as the teams closed out the final day of "camp" with a flourish and with plenty of competition going around.

Volleyball Day 5
Head coach Gary Lee is looking to instill some fierce competition among his team in this preseason camp. The Wolves continue to battle it out on the court for the starting spots in this year's rotation. Through the final day, he emphasized that those spots are still up for grabs to the players who work the hardest for them.

"We have worked hard this week, but just because we worked hard during camp doesn't mean that the hard work is over. Now the real work starts."
Head Coach Gary Lee

Socccer Day 5
The soccer camp season finished with a bang Wednesday evening, as the Wolves held their second intersquad scrimmage, playing for the first time on the competition surface at University Field. The two sides battled for much of the first 30 minute period, with three quick goals coming late in the session. Junior Cydney Raymond connected on two of them and senior Melanie Kilburn had the third. Raymond's goals were a part of a stretch where she had four quick runs at the goal in succession. Junior Miriam Perfecto also had a solid run midway through the period, with her shot going wide right.

"I'm pleased with the level of competitiveness that I've seen out of my team through camp. If we continue to improve through the rest of the preseason as we have this week, we have a shot to be in it this year."
Head Coach Marisa Kovacs

Football Day 5
The first day in full pads for the Wolves was possibly one of the hottest days of the summer, but that didn't curtail the enthusiasm and the pad popping. Transfer cornerback Ken Hale had several impressive plays throughout the day, as did new wide receiver Tavarus Lewis.

"We have to make sure that our eyes are in the right place this year. It is such a small thing, but by putting our eyes in the wrong place, it can get us killed on the defensive side of the ball."
Defensive Coordinator Jody Allen
