Carrollton, GA - The second day of Fall Camp is in the books for the West Georgia Wolves, with each team hitting the field/court at least two times throughout the extremely warm and humid day.

Volleyball Day 2
The Wolves are really coming together as a team very quickly. With a good nucleus of returning players, that is helping to create bonds within the team at a much quicker pace. On the court, head coach Gary Lee and his staff continue to emphasize focus with a longer preseason for his team than any other at UWG this fall. The Wolves don't play until the first week in September.
Overheard during Camp
"I am really enjoying the time we have to get to know the new girls and reunite with the returners, but my first pass of the day today was a bit embarassing, because my shoe came off."

Soccer Day 2
Head Coach Marisa Kovacs took her team "off the grid" this morning to a place that soccer players are unfamiliar with, on the cement. The Wolves had a solid session of working on ball control on a hard surface, then finished up the afternoon with a short 2-on-2 drill. Freshman keeper Mary Laza showed some versatility with saves with both her feet and her hands during the drill.
Overheard on the Practice Field
"If we can control the ball with our feet on a tough surface like cement and can keep our balance and not tear our knees up, then we can surely do that and be more effective on grass."
-Head Coach Marisa Kovacs

Football Day 2
The practice fields on the campus of the University of West Georgia were alive on Sunday, as the Wolves continued preparation with a focus on fundamentals and getting the little things right. The practices were in helmets and shorts for the second straight day, with a little more contact on the way tomorrow with shoulder pads on for the first time. Many of the returners on offense have spent 2-3 years with this offensive system and are on point with routes and getting to the right place at the right time.
Overheard on the Practice Field
"We need to be aggressive at all times, but we must focus on Assignment, Alignment and Effort. If you know what your assignment is, align yourself correctly within that assignment and give a maximum effort, we will start to see good things from this team."
-Head Coach Daryl Dickey
